Cole Update

We took Cole to his 15 month doctor appointment not too long ago. He weighed 23 lbs. 6 oz. (30%) and is 31" tall (40%). It's always an adventure at the doctor's office. Cole did really good...it was Emma that added drama to the situation. I try to avoid bringing multiple children anywhere if possible, but this time it couldn't be avoided. Here's a little about Cole at 15, almost 16 months:
  • He loves to push buttons. This includes turning the TV on and off, much to the annoyance of his sister and his dad. Currently he is turning the DVD/VCR player on and off, while Emma is trying to watch home videos. It makes me laugh because he looks at me right after he does it, since he knows I'm going to say something (learning cause and effect.)
  • He still climbs on everything, including the kitchen table and the coffee table. He's always banging his head on everything. We just hope there's no permanent damage.
  • He loves his sister and can't wait for her to wake up in the morning. He loves to play with her in her room. Most of the time Emma loves him too. Oh the joys of having two children....bring on the sibling rivalry.
  • He is very hesitant to try new foods. Here are some of the foods he will eat: oatmeal, applesauce, yogurt, goldfish, most crackers, french fries, pancakes, french toast, and baby food (all fruit kinds and all orange kinds.) He has a quite the gag reflex.
  • He's a pretty good sleeper/napper. The only complaint I have is he's an early riser. He wakes up between 6 and 7 most mornings...occasionally before 6. He still takes 2 good sized naps and goes to bed around 8:30.
  • He loves to dance. Anytime he hears music he dances and claps.
  • He loves cars and balls. He's pure boy. He loves anything that resembles a stick. He uses these stick-like objects to hit things. He especially loves the "Rock Band" drums.
We have so much fun with Cole. He's full of energy and personality. We love him to death and feel blessed to have him in our family.

He's a cute little boy. I'm glad he's so happy and has fun with his sister. (Sorry he gets up early.) :)
