July so far...

Growing up I loved summertime. But being a kid, who doesn't love being out of school?! As I've aged I definitely appreciate the other seasons a lot more. Because of this, Summer is now 3rd on my list of seasons. But there is still part of me that LOVES summertime, especially summer nights. I complain about the parades and fireworks but I do love to watch my kids as they experience them.

Here's the first week of July 2010:

We celebrated my mom's 50th Birthday at Maddox Restaurant (love that place!) I made her a dark and white chocolate cake with strawberries. Not a good picture, but super yummy.


We went to the Logan fireworks. Casey loves this tradition and invites everyone he knows to come with us. This year we had a huge group join us up there. Can't believe we have so many crazy friends! :) Not my favorite tradition but still a lot of fun (just a lot of waiting around, helps teach me patience, and getting home super late)


After the fireworks we drove up to Bear Lake to spend time with Casey's family. The kids love the beach and hanging with cousins. It was in the low 80's-high 70's, cold for a beach day.


Isn't this too funny? I knew he was tired and suspected this might happen...
